Portsmouth Voters Wake Up: Notes on Sheriff Bill Dukes of Hazzard Watson

A felony over an expired inspection sticker? A car chase over an expired inspection sticker? We know Portsmouth can do better than this.  And Portsmouth voters need to wake up and show up and do better than this.  Watson didn’t get into office by accident, someone voted him in to office.

The drama goes on and on in Portsmouth.  This week was no exception after Sheriff Bill Dukes of Hazzard Watson decided to chase Portsmouth Mayor Kenny Wright in his car over an expired inspection sticker.  But of course it wasn’t over an inspection sticker, it was over the open secret that Wright and Watson hate each other and so Watson just had to verify that the Mayor’s car was up to date after a recent City Council meeting.

And why did that happen? Because Wright did something during the meeting that Watson didn’t agree with: He fined Councilman Bill Moody $1,500 because Moody violated some “rule” and posted information on facebook regarding an upcoming debate on confederate monuments.

Had enough? If you have had enough vote.  If you think that all of this is normal continue to do nothing.
