We have a question: What is Congressman Randy Forbes and Republican in Chesapeake panicking about? Virginia’s fourth congressional district is already 34 percent Black. Why is there an assumption that Randy Forbes can’t represent African American parts of Richmond? He represents thousands of Black people.
Forbes is focused on religion and faith. Are Black voters against religion and faith? Forbes is a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee. Do Black voter have a problem with our military and care for our vets? Forbes is a co-sponsor of preventative justice reform legislation. Is there a problem with that issue amongst Black voters?
Why is Forbes and friends so scared to run in what will be the the new fourth district? Unlike soon-to-be-former Congressman Scott Rigell, who has done nothing in Congress, Forbes has a resume in Congress to run on. What’s with the fear of campaigning for and talking to Black votes and voters?
