Northam Raises Nearly $1,500,000, From 12,119 Donors, In Just 46 Days; Has $3.32 Million On Hand
Northam has raised $5.38 million for the cycle from nearly 45,000 individual contributions with 92% being under $100 or less, and more than 85% coming from Virginians
Richmond, VA – Today, the Northam for Governor campaign announced it raised nearly $1.5 million in 46 days. Northam was barred from fundraising during the legislative session. Northam has over $3.32 million cash on hand as of the March 31st reporting deadline. For the cycle, the Northam campaign has raised $5.38 million.
The campaign has a vast grassroots network with more than 44,972 contributions, and 12,119 in the first quarter alone, with 92% of all contributions being $100 or less. 85.5% of the total amount raised came from Virginians.
“The campaign is a grassroots effort fueled by contributors from every part of Virginia,” said campaign manager Brad Komar. “Dr. Northam continues to generate new enthusiasm for his broad, progressive coalition who want to create economic opportunity for everyone no matter where they live. Voters know he will be a brick wall against new restrictions on women’s reproductive care and discrimination, fight for new gun safety legislation, and stand up to President Trump’s bigotry.”
