In the first quarter, Northam raised $32,396 per day while Tom Perriello only raised $26,000 per day.
Richmond, VA – Yesterday, Ed Gillespie announced he had less cash on hand than Ralph Northam and had raised less over the course of the entire election. Today, Tom Perriello announced that with two months to go in the primary, he has half the cash on hand as Ralph Northam.
It is important to note, Northam raised $1.5 million in the first quarter and was barred from fundraising during the legislative session, which was half the quarter. Northam has over $3.32 million cash on hand as of the March 31st. In the first quarter Northam raised $32,396 per day while Tom Perriello only raised $26,000 per day.
Lt. Governor Northam has a vast grassroots network with more than 44,972 contributions, and 12,119 in the first quarter alone, with 92% of all contributions being $100 or less. 85.5% of the total amount raised came from Virginians. During the first quarter, Northam raised $32,396 to Tom Perriello’s self-reported $26,000 per day.
In addition, Lt. Governor Northam has raised $5.38 million for the cycle while Ed Gillespie and Tom Perriello have only raised $4.6 million and $2.2 million respectively.
